Meet Our Founder, David Brown
David Brown combined his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with specialized study in biomechanics to solve a challenge close to his heart: the limitations of existing adaptive sports gear.
Inspired by his time with the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program and current work with Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School, David became an innovator, creating functional tools that could immediately increase his students' independence skiing, sliding and riding the lift.

The Vision Behind the Innovation
With a background in mechanical engineering and a focus on biomechanics, David Brown first discovered his passion for specialized gear while serving as an instructor at the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program. This early experience inspired him to design equipment that bridges the gap between technical innovation and the unique needs of adaptive athletes.

At TASP, David found more than just a coaching role; he discovered a community that reshaped his understanding of resilience and human connection. Witnessing the sheer determination of these athletes moved him deeply, turning his technical skill set into a heartfelt mission to serve others. This profound personal shift fueled his drive to ensure that every individual, regardless of ability, can experience the transformative power and freedom of the mountain.
Today, David continues to pursue advanced certifications while teaching skiing in Beaver Creek and working with Challenge Aspen to support local athletes. He can often be found accompanied in the outdoors by his wife, Mary Pat, and their German Shepherd, Zora.
